Default Lots of New Registrants and Lots More Traffic Here

Not exactly sure why but we experienced a spike in traffic and new registrants here lately... Yes it's the summer and we usually have a spike but this is much more of a spike then we usually have and now it's out pacing our group Facebook page...

So, what do you all attribute this to?
- More people at home with more time on their hands
- People tiring of regular social media sites

I'd be interested in opinions here so what do you all think?

I think more people are getting into fishing or getting back into fishing to get out and away from pandemic and political news cycles. And to get away from their wives and kids after 5 plus months of isolation and honey do items lol. Then they're googling keyword terms like "fishing NJ" or "fishing in new jersey" or "nj fishing sites", and lo and behold... bam! SEO at its finest leading folks to njf.

The site has been around so long and provides new content daily. These are things Google rewards you for organically in regards to keyword search terms. When they get here and poke around they quickly realize the value and register.

That's my 2 cents anyway lol...

50 million plus people have filed for unemployment over the last 2 to 3 months. For those still employed, work rules have changed where most are working from home. Every major sporting event that has any games being played is without fans. People are essentially still locked in their homes and have to do something and being at home they're not restricted surfing the internet as they were at work. And that to what Jigman said about SEO and you have your answer.

Even the boat sales are through the roof. Boating and fishing are the ultimate social distance activities 🤪
