Default Weekend Tuna

Went out of Manasquan inlet midday Saturday. We started fishing around the 40 line on some bait we marked but nothing doing. After some searching we picked up and ran east but it was slow for us with only one knockdown. Overnight was quiet and I jigged up a bag full of Calamari just to get some meat on ice. The morning troll wasn't happening so we ran west and finally got 2 nice Yellowfin and 2 small Bluefin. It was a bit of a grind but not a bad way to spend time off of work.

Weekends can be tough, but you stuck with it and not only got some tuna but also some calamari, way to go!

Thanks, it really wasn't crowded where we were Saturday afternoon. Probably because there was no fish there. On Sunday we didn't see another boat all day until we got inshore.

Yes we did. The dozen that I put on ice tasted great with my Tuna steak this evening.

Brewlugger it was nice talking to you out there in the deep. Jimmy also caught a bunch of squid that night boy were they good yesterday with the tuna. Glad you found some tuna on Sunday we headed towards the Texas Tower but couldn't find any life in that area. Being in pea soup fog for 24 hours was not any fun but the sea were flat.Tight Lines

It was good talking to you as well. Thank Jim for me. Tried calling you on Sunday, I texted Jim where we found them.
