![]() Ok so I am an avid fisherman , so much so I bought a house on a lagoon in brick(town) nj. So at different times of the year I see different fish jump. I see cocktails, loads of peanuts and mullet come September but then I see good size splashes, like bigger fish. One day I saw a real good splash and caught around a 5 pd blue +/- A decent fish for back here. I throw every shape , color , size artificial and 0 bites. Question is What am I seeing and how do I target them?

![]() Might be an adult bunker.
FYI, I just bought a house in Brick on a lagoon. I’m in the Cherry Quay section. |

![]() I'm in the bay wood section. If it is adult bunker it's only one random here in there. Also doesn't make that slap sound a bunker usually makes

![]() We just officially moved in yesterday (6/8) but my son was here a few nights ago and said he heard bait “popping”. We’re thinking about putting in dock lights to attract whatever baitfish (& hopefully predators) that are around.

![]() Most likely blues or the occasional weakfish. They don't hang around so best you'll get is a quick shot at em once and a while.

![]() Definitely put in lights. Any fisherman would love to watch the food chain in action.
