Default 5/30 Sandy Hook Bay Flukin

Headed out around 10 with pops and had a very good bite in shallow water 12 to 14 feet. Was tough finding clean water from this algae bloom but the pockets of clean water had them feeding. Chartreuse gulp was the hot ticket. Got 5 nice fish with lots of 17 3/4 inch fish as well. Once the tide turned the bite shut down so headed back to the dock. Good sign for the summer ahead!!!

Yes I think Capt Derek is right with the Mahogany tide. Was a mix of Yoo-hoo, mud and some kind of oil all mixed together. Felt bad for my motor lol. But found clean water on the East side of the bay and it was great til the crap water came in. Don't know how long this crap will be around.
