Today, we looked around in different areas. There were plenty of readings and fish on top at times, unfortunately, we didn’t catch what we saw. We picked at a few on some drifts and ended up with about a dozen keeper stripers up to 40 lbs. Our pool winner was Jesus Lauenda from Newton, NJ.

Today, we fished from outside of our inlet, to north of our inlet, to 2 ½ miles off the beach. Sometimes we were almost right on the 3 mile line and sometimes we were only a mile off the beach. At times, it was white water where the fish were breaking all over the top and other times we read them very well. We picked away and we would get a couple fish and sometimes none. Overall, it turned out to be a decent day but we didn’t catch anywhere near what we saw. It is most likely due to the weather coming tomorrow. We still ended up with a bunch of nice stripers anywhere between 30-40 lbs. We would like to thank Tom and his family and friends for joining us today. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

If you have been thinking about coming fishing, NOW is the time to come striper fishing! It’s red hot right now and they are monsters! Take advantage of this excellent fall striper fishing while you still can! On the days where it is cold we will have hot food and hot soup on-board. We also have a full galley and a cook every day.

Also, for those that have been asking, you will want 30-40 lb test for these monsters if you’re bringing your own rod. If not, we have custom rod and reel rentals on the boat.

The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for stripers and blues from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The Royal Miss Belmar has a special whale watching trip every Sunday from 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
