Default Virginia Beach- not a bad day fishing

Headed down to VA Beach with my son and nephew for a day of cobia fishing on a NS boat. After a late start to let a storm pass, we headed out to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel, and started picking cobia up off the pilings almost immediately. As conditions improved, we headed out to the bay to work the bunker pods and do some sight casting with live eels, bucktails and live bunker. These fish are incredibly strong, and we got our a$$es whupped fighting them on what amounted to fluke bucktailing rods. We kept our boat limit of 3 fish over 40", and played C&R with another dozen, including my "citation release" fish of 55".
Finished up the day by trolling up some Spanish Macks up to 24", and thought the day was done until Andrew spotted some fish finning under the bridge. We got on them and picked up a bunch of nice spadefish. Made the drive home last night, woke up today feeling like I got hit by a bus. Gonna do this one again next year!
