LBI Surf report

Fished the surf on LBI on the incoming tide Saturday morning. Had pretty constant action either hits or hookups with snapper blues, all around a pound. Landed four, lost four, had tons more hits all on the deadly dick.

Fished the incoming at the inlet Sunday morning, boat traffic was insane! so many people drifting in the inlet, some people getting real close to each other. Bit scary to watch at times but everyone seemed to know what they were doing! The girlfriend came with me and fished, first time for her in the salt! We didn’t catch anything but she enjoyed the experience. We fished for fluke and then bluefish but nothing was hanging around.

Fished the surf again Sunday afternoon, thick bait ball passed through shore and was getting attacked by something but they weren’t interested. Great weekend of fishing! Tight lines!

Thats what i was thinking! I have never caught one so i was slinging metals at the bait ball, tried all sorts of retrieves, but there was 0 interest. Next time!

Fished LBI surf Thursday and Saturday at sunrise

Very good kingfish bite

I also caught some of those bluefish while bucktailing

Good bite on short fluke as well up to 17 1/2

On Thursday def saw some interesting bait balls

Nice man! I bucktailed around the beach for a good hour before i switched over to the metals but didn't get a touch. Saw some kingfish caught by young kids down the beach using fishbites. Pretty cool to see so much life!
