Default Over and under BFT today

Al and I got our over and under today. First tuna trip for us this season and it was a good one. Broke inlet at 7am back at dock 1:30 and all cleaned up before the storms. Tuna almost book ends one at 46" and other at 49" Tight Lines!

Possibly dumb question...can you tell the difference in taste between YF and BF tuna? I know BF is in demand as sushi, but is that the only way to eat it? If you grilled it like YF, could you tell the difference?

Personally I prefer Bluefin but I don't grill Yellowfin either. I eat both sushi style. Most of the tuna you eat at Sushi place is Yellowfin. On the menu they call it Ahi. Its all personal. If I did a blindfold taste test I honestly couldn't tell.
I was taught no questions are stupid. Hope this helps.

If I had to say, prefer Bluefin to Yellowfin Raw but will devour both. Prefer Yellowfin grilled but there won’t be a piece of either left if they are put in front of me. Do prefer Bigeye and Blackfin over both.

It is all personal taste, I agree with Mark. To the average person, not all that different.
