![]() I’m staying at the four seasons at the Papagayo Peninsula in late June on a company sponsored trip. Does anyone have any recommendations for a charter down there. I’ll be with my family so a 4 Hour trip would be ideal. Is it worth going offshore for a 4 hour trip (don’t know how far the boats have to run to get to productive fishing grounds that time of year). I’ve always wanted to try rooster fishing. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, my company has boats lined up through the hotel that we have to pay for that are ridiculously priced so I’m not playing that tourist game!

![]() I stayed in papagayo last October ..we used 'Alex on the Beach' to book a fishing trip it was great and cheap. They picked me up right at the resort and will fish for whatever you want.
We did a 4 hour trip only about 2 miles from shore and caught yellowfin and mahi non stop. If you want sailfish probably need a full day to go further out, if I were to do it again probably would have done 2 hours yellowfin and 2 hours pitching live bait to roosters on the reefs. Enjoy! |
