![]() Me and two friends got to tilcon and fished from the shoreline in the rain today from 9:30-2:45. Tons of follows from landlocked salmon, as close as 5 feet from the bank, but none of them were committing. I got follows on krockodile spoons, blue fox size 4 spinners and X-raps. They look like freshwater tuna swimming around! Hopefully next time I go I’ll be able to land one, but I should bring the kayak and troll spoons behind me for them. The bank has some accessible spots but was very flooded in some parts. In one section the main lake was flowing into a nearby pond, and the water was cold! It was a great day outside, bummed I wasn’t able to hook a salmon. Next time!!!

![]() Amazing all those follows and not one hook up, seem to very smart fish at times. Gotta key in on the right size lure and color by the looks of it.

![]() Yeah that must be it. I'm not sure if they were looking for something a little bigger or in another color. I even tried a suspending x rap to see if they'd bite on the stall, but no takers. I'm definitely going to go out for them again as soon as possible!

![]() Hey, just my 2 cents. With colder water temps, I would be scaling down not up. Slow retrieve too. Good luck. Maybe tip the hook with a mealie or maggot.

![]() What lb test and leader material were you using? Don't know if LL's are line shy but we've all seen leader materials make the difference in a days fishing. Especially this time of year when water is very clear and fish are more lethargic.

![]() It's not a snazzy way to catch them, but if you put a small jig tipped with a mealie under a bobber when there's some chop...

![]() Fly casting unweighted streamers might work, too.
