![]() We had a little delay at the beginning with the Brielle railroad bridge behind closed for some time. We got out and went south till we came upon some birds and alot of bait. We got a good pick going on some long drifts, till the bite slowed late morning. Nothing big but decent action, they bit best on the retrieve squidding not so much on the yoyo. The guys weren't into trolling but that was ok by me.

![]() We had similar results as you but up north in the Sea Bright and Sandy Hook areas.... All you wanted 22 to 24 inch fish and like you said, they didn't want the jig straight up and down.... A cast out, let it sink and a slow and steady retrieve did the trick.... Best action was from 10 to 11.
