Default Surf/canal/ inlet report

Had a couple days off and drove down Wednesday afternoon. Gave the surf a try in Spring lake, got a couple fluke amongst a lot of unmolested bait. Thursday I went to the canal but it was a slow bite of short blackfish. Went down near Seaside and got on a blitz of 1lb blues and very small falsies at sunset. Friday I went to Barnegat inlet and had a good blackfish bite, I got 2 . keepers to 19 inches. Went up north of Seaside and had slow fishing until after 7 PM I got 3 stripers around 25 inches and lost a few too. Went back around 5 this morning and got a small bass right away and got hit on the next cast. I was thinking it was gonna be a good bite but that was it for me and I bailed out at 8.
