Default Sandy Hook Fishing

I was wondering if anyone’s been to Sandy Hook recently and fished off the beach or from kayaks. What’s been the action like since I’ll most likely head there Sunday unless there’s better action at other spots. This year has been horrible for me with fishing. Always getting skunked whether it’s from the beach or on a party boat(MJIV by Brooklyn)and I need something to turn my luck around. Catching a couple trout in local waters by me doesn’t satisfy my hunger for great action and fights that saltwater fishing provides. I couldn’t find recent fishing reports for Sandy Hook which is why I’m making a thread here. Any and all help is appreciated for good shore fishing/kayak fishing around the NJ shore areas. I’ve failed on every attempt ever at Striper fishing so it’s still on my list of fish I need/want to catch eventually lol.

I fish the hook at least three times a week....first thing, fishing beach is a disaster...trees at the high water line and not much beach left since the last nor'easter...I will be trying bunker next week but do not expect much...party boats out of Atlantic highlands are good for fluke right now...in September, Porgy fishing is at its best...use site sponsors party boats...good luck..ROBBIE
