Default Captain cal

Been hearing great reports from the bay but I really like ocean fluking. I’m on vacation this week and thinking of hitting up the captain cal in Belmar. Anyone else on the board thinking of going tell me what day and I’ll join you!! Pm if needed.

Tight lines

If you like the ocean by all means give it a go. The Capt Cal II has switched over to fluking. I was on Saturday and it was slow but we had no drift 2/3 of the day. According to their Sunday report they had a much better day then. The bay has been warmer and good fishing if conditions are optimal. There are fluke in the ocean but you just may have to work at it a bit more to put together a catch. Go get 'em!

The good thing about fishing on the ocean side is that at least for the next few days, you are liable to get a bycatch of Sea Bass and maybe some Ling this time of year, if you are close to the rough bottom areas, and the Belmar/Brielle boats are catching some big blues now.
Little more variety in the ocean at this time... bob
