Thumbs up Monday on The Fishermen!

First I want to say thank you to Capt Ron, Joey, and Sunny for a great time on the water. We got down nice and early and grabbed our spots and got set up for the day. We headed out and first drift i had 3 shorts back to back with in minutes of each other. The drift wasnt the best but if you worked hard there was action. I weeded through a ton of shorts same wit Dad. I got the dollar fish! Nice fat fish. Dad decided he was going to wait till the end of the trip to get his! I must have changed color a million times but ended up doing the best with white and same with Dad. I dropped a few and same with Dad but the action was there. Fished with a great group of guys today. Put some names to faces and met some new ones. I think the best part is that Dad got sea robins, skates, blue fish, sun dial, and to top it off a condom!!!!!!! LOL We had a hell of a good laugh at that one! It was a light tackle day. I fished a 1oz just about all day. I went with a smaller presentation and it paid off. 5in on bottom and 4in on teaser.

Tackle used to day was my Dark Matter rod paired with a shimano stradic ci4 2500. 20# spider wire and 25# floro leader. 1oz ball head jig with plain hook for teaser. Dad was using his Jigging World Black Widow paired with a daiwa ballistic lt 2500. 20# J-Braid and 25# floro leader. Same thing with a 1oz ball head jig with plain hook for teaser.

Lots of laughs as always. It was nice to be out on the water again. This was my first trip since last Nov when i got sick. Its always a Top Notch Operation on The Fishermen! Thanks again guys!
