![]() Took off the old platform because of rot. I ground it all out to re-core it but there are many materials to choose from, it was end grain balsa. The foam products , from what I've read, do not hold mounting screws well. So with that in mind do you go back to wood? any thoughts?

![]() If you are replacing balsa the high density foams will certainly hold a screw better than balsa...Charlie

![]() I used SeaCast in my last ride for an engine mount that was fubar. Worked great. Def something you can drill/tap and has the strength for a swim platform. Something to look into.
