![]() Canyon Runner NY Seminar - ONLY 20 TICKETS LEFT!
February 24, 2018 - Huntington Hilton, Melville - Long Island ****************************** Great Giants Fishing - Last Two Trip Multiple Giants Hooked and Fought Each Trip Saw Big Fish Hit the Deck ****************************** Free Giant Trip For Military Folks to be Announced Next Week Watch Out for For It in Another Post! ******************************* But First............. Capt. Deane Lambros' last two trips saw close to 10 bites from giant tuna with multiple fish fought before boating his 1 fish per day limit each trip. The best trip of the year so far was the last with the Matt Mozitis charter on board with his son Matt as well as Jake Speer and Wyatt Thomas. As soon as they put out the trolling spread they had their bites. Pulling a couple off on the initial run they finally had their shot and fought a fish within feet of the dart and/or the official IGFA release only to have it pull off. Not a few minutes later they finally got one to stay on and the boys put a quick hurting on the fish and the dart was sunk and they had their fish of a lifetime. The great thing about fishing now is the trip isn't over - they went yellowfin fishing for a few hours before running home and caught a few yellowfin too. The Penn International 130s working flawlessly once again! With weather as good as we've seen forecasted for this week the only thing that's going to slow down Capt. Deane - who's had 4 big bluefin in the boat in 5 trips - is he has to run up to Long Island to do our NY Seminar this Saturday. But beforehand, we will be fishing every day through Thursday so look forward - we hope - to more reports and pics. Plenty of room for charters over the next few weeks if interested - just email info@canyonrunner.com or call - 732-272-4445. ![]() Does the charter get any $$$$'s back from the sale of the bluefin? If that's not the case, and the boat takes possession of the bluefin and sells it, shouldn't that be listed as a disclaimer in your advertisements? $2,000 plus tip plus sale of the fish is a win-win for the business. Is that discussed before or after booking the charter? Just wondering.

![]() Is there a fuel surcharge and how is the tip determined? If the trip gets blown out do we get a refund? Some other questions that you missed!

![]() Back out today on the giant tuna grounds with the Leon Elul charter - who is also one of our Coaching/Fishing Report Members - so hopefully they put on a clinic today with a couple big bites. Will report back as soon as I hear something.
Great Questions! Charter gets 1/3 of the fish money. No Fuel Surcharge - we haven't had one in years now for any trips. Yes - any trips blown out in NC get a full refund.

![]() Well that didn't take long today - within minutes of starting the troll this morning they had a double header on giants.
Fought them both for quite a while before pulling the hook on one and putting the steel to the other. They are still dragging it behind the boat so don’t know how big – probably close to 90”. We'll get pictures up as soon as we have them.
