![]() Hey Andy, The French have set a very high bar for you. They drained a canal to do their cleanup. What a horror for the people who live there and pass there everyday! They could never have imagined that so much garbage and debris were under the surface. We should all be very thankful for your efforts to clean and protect the Raritan Watershed from becoming a watercovered landfill of garbage.
I'm just curious.......if there was one section of the Raritan that you could have drained by the Army Corps of Engineers or by the state in order to remove the most debris, where would it be? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74MNLCJ6m3g |

![]() I can't help you with RV but here is what SR looked like in October of 2016. Round Valley would be the interesting look-see. There is supposed to be some former structures at the bottom of it. My uncle used to hunt in that valley way back when and talked about what it was like before it was being flooded. I'm not sure what the unrecovered body count is in RV but it has taken its toll. The closest anyone ever came to investigating the underwater landscape of Round Valley was when a submersible craft was used many years ago. The weed growth prevented any substantial survey and was said to be the cause for the difficulty in finding and retrieving more bodies.
