Lightbulb Re: Don’t forget to renew your salt water registration

It's just wrong. They lump these "numbers" together.
So I fish a few times off the beach in the fall and keep nothing, lumped in with a guy who fished off the jetty with his kids during summer vacation at the Jersey shore, lumped in with a retiree who fished 6 days a week and keeps everything, lumped in with the guy who has a 60' Post and fishes the canyons, lumped in with party boats, lumped in with a guy who fishes the tidal back bays, you tell me what kind of information you can derive from that !

I'm waiting...............................

I know there are those many of you the won’t be happy with anything they do period. That’s fine but don’t complain that they make up the numbers . I don’t agree with there numbers either but I’m willing do do what I can to improve the possibilities of them being closer to the truth

Thumbs up Re: Don’t forget to renew your salt water registration

Yes, by all means register because we all know how well these "numbers" have helped us in the past few years to achieve smaller bag limits and shorter seasons.

Letting them know how many guys are actually fishing gives more voice than you give credit to.
They would love to see less guys registering, as then they can give more of the quota away.
Best thing you can do is inflate the numbers so the stop giving our poundage to other entities.

you don't see Colorado sending us their elk. or montana sending us their antelope.
why should we feed the rest of the US with the resources our state has to offer.
