I hate the TSA!!!! No one knows what you are allowed to bring.. they just make it up as they go.. one day its ok.. the next its not.. Then you have to choose if you want to get fried in the body scanner or have some weird guy grab your junk!!!!

Pack your tackle in your luggage and check your bag. You will not have any problems.

I have gone back and forth to Florida 3 times the past couple of months with numerous tackle boxes filled with all kinds of lures and hooks in my carry on with out any issue. They did open my reel bag that had some jigs in it once but let me go right thru with it.

Shipping tackle to C R is not a good option. A lot of it never seems to reach its destination? Some Captains I have fished with will purchase stuff on line and have it delivered to my house for me to bring down to them. When I do carry tackle down with me I put it in my checked baggage. Except reels. I do take the line off and re-spool them when I get there. Haven't had anything taken from my luggage in over 15 years.

I don't fish the surf down there and I haven't had a problem with the tackle on a boat in over a dozen years, so I don't carry much down anymore.

Did you get my ans to your FB msg.?
