I agree w/ you should be all about the kids on that day, also be nice if no boats were allowed in the lake that day.

in my opinion, its like every other fishing derby i was as a kid. its nicley set up but the adults need to be kept out for the tourney, i had 2 older gentelmen that were casting spoons within 4 feet of my kid and every other cast they rakes in my kids bobber, she wasnt happy, i had people sit so close to me they asked me to move my net so they can put a chair down. and its nuts i have to wake up a 3 yera old at 530, get there at 6 and keep her occupied for 2 hours and still have to fight for a spot, cant realy fix that though. she had on a small white trout but was lost due to a line tangle. she enjoyed it though, she loves to fish. the only complaint i had about the actual lake is, every other derby ive fished as a kid had rediculous amounts of sunnies, enough to keep every kid occupied, and everyone atleast had a bite. all in all a good event that i will attend again next year. o ANd XX2 on the no boat policy, thats rediculaous. and one pole per person would be a good help 2
