Capt. Dan was a legend back in the day with night time eeling for bass. Years ago there were always party boats out of the Highlands which Capt. Ron eluded to that targeted bass eeling at night. Deadly. BUT in all those years I was never on a trip with bass the size Dark Horse posted, trip of a lifetime. Kudos to the Captain and crew! All fish are being handled properly in the photos, look at the vid on Dark Horse's fb page and you'll see nets were used and I'm sure the Captain and crew and fares did everything by the book. No need to make a positive into a negative, too much of that going around in this world already.
Great job by all and a lot of smiles and PB's on that trip. Those are the type trips you'll remember for a lifetime and exactly why what's happening in the Chesapeake needs to be addressed and resolved. Too important and prestigious a fishery to go by the wayside for the benefit of one greedy ass state and one conglomerate. |

Not trolling for trouble AT ALL. I was simply asking questions, and wondering why you don't see this more often. I remember years ago reading reports like this and wondered why more people weren't doing this, seems like lots of fun and plenty of fish to be caught.
