Aerator carp

Bought a case of canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for 50 cents per can at Walmart, then went carping in 71.7 degrees Colonial Lake near the aerator. Weather was sunny ☀️ and cold 🥶 with a strong west wind 💨 after a rain storm ⛈️ and cold front. Threw out canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then saw a carp surface twice before catching a 22” 6 lb 2 oz common carp with corn 🌽 bait. An onlooker took my pic. Double crested cormorants, great blue heron, Canada geese, mallards 🦆, and mourning doves were nearby. Redeared slider heads were sticking out of the water. The drake mallard decoy is still near the far shore of the lake.

Looking at that rod and reel combo, it lays true testament to the saying "it's the Indian, not the arrow"
