I chose Rays because some earliest sport ship memories there.
Meltzer's was great. Guess the Denville/Boonton shops were already gone before I got out here. Couple others that are gone that I miss Dover Sport Center on 46, had bait, decent tackle selection, guns, ammo, great old time shop Fins & Furs? (not sure about the name) up on 23 in the Lakeland Bank plaza West Milford, was handy for the watersheds

I doubt that .as we are probably close in Age . You actually probably slightly older .lol
Pete had a store right on 22 by where merck is , then moved it to the Cokebury light at a later time . Besides selling bait and tackle he also sold mercury motors and RV sized aluminum boats . Was probably late 70’s through mid 80’s
