Default Fathers Day Fishing Trip!

Went fishing today with my son Nick. There was NE wind when we left the barn and I had a feeling it was going to be one of them days but we stayed optimistic. Fished the CG station area to get in the leeward side of the wind and picked away at short fluke. After about a hour the wind laid down and off to the ocean it was. There was a roll out there on the ocean plus a steady NE wind which made getting to my spot a slower ride. Finally got there and picked away at short fluke, stingrays and to my surprise no sea bass. The bite was certainly off! The wind continued to pick up so we decided to called it a day. Catching fish is always great but a day on the water with my son Nick is priceless. Happy Father's Day all and tight lines!

Fished that area too and got a few bites. Seemed like the only place you could avoid the wind. Grandson was getting bored so we anchored up in the middle of the bay soaked some clams and wore him out with Skates and Dogies.
