![]() I discovered the Delaware River red breasted sunfish spawning grounds in a tributary of a tributary. Went ultralight jigging there yesterday evening during the 2024 May full moon spawn. Caught and released 80 red breasted sunfish, 4 black crappies and a bluegill with 1” twister tails on a gold 1/64 oz shad dart and 2 lb test line. Saw a big bass go after my lure, but there was no hookup. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting.

![]() .Love Red Breasted sunnies,, Never saw one in a lake, only streams and rivers... We have them here, but not in the kind of numbers you mentioned.. If I get 2 or 3 up here any given day thats a lot... In this area that environmental niche' is taken by rock bass mostly..
