Default Gambler-Striped Bass/Tuna Report

Capt. Bob reports-good striped bass fishing today. Slots, bonus fish and overs --up to 40+ lbs.

At times we saw fish under the birds and other times they were just breaking on the readings.

Bass are still hitting shads and spoons but they are taking 4oz ava jigs-tails, too which mimic sand eels.

It sounds like fish were caught North and South of us today, too. Sea surface Temps are still in the mid 50s, which is good.

We are booked for Monday. Wednesday but the weather may not be good.

The Gambler is scheduled to sail every day except Mondays for striped bass.

Sunday night into Monday we will be running offshore sea bass trips.

Our final tuna trip to the canyon this past Monday was awesome. We had great weather and good action on yellowfin tuna up to 70lbs along with a couple of longfin. Capt Bob had thought about adding one more canyon tuna trip but decided to leave on a high note.

Hope to see you aboard. Don't miss the striper season!
