If your using a swivel encase it in surge or rubber tubing . This will hold it in place and prevent that hook from reaching it ! The tube must be slid over swivel and popper eye to stiffen properly .
This is a trick I’ve used for night popper fishing when this would occur ! Last edited by Capt. Lou; 10-24-2022 at 09:50 PM..
