what ever floats your boat,like i said before and will always say"you can't beat
the ava,from 1/2 oz to 12 oz.i too used to carry all kinds but now its 6 ava-27's
and to 505hs.

95% of the time I’m fishing a 2 Oz . But have to use 10/15 pound braid if fishing from a drifting boat or in heavy current .

Go to 3 Oz if need to .
I also change out the trebles to a single hook for ease in unhooking and releasing fish .

Though most fish hitting the jig hit the cooler
