I recently did my twin 175 and twin 15 hp outboards. My advice that helped me.

#1. U tube. you will find the procedure there.
#2. as you take things apart, take photos as you go. loosen the housing bolts, Take pics. then take pics of the shift lever and shaft. I took all the bolts out in neutral and then went reverse to give me a little more room in there. Take pics, take pics. It was actually easier than I thought. It is better with two people. my conclusion is. Its an easy job. I will never pay to have it done again.
