Yep, I can see the good folks at the Marine Resources Advisory Council all smiles, happy to see the weather cooperate with their wishes.
If their good luck holds, the Sea Bass will be back out 90 miles off, with the Porgies close behind by the time the weather allows fishing inshore .. If their luck really holds, maybe we'll get 2 weeks solid rain at the opening of blackfish season as well, followed by paralyzing snows. Yeah I know, bad attitude. bob

You may be right Bob...but you know what? we'll still have exceeded the quota.

Yeah, really.
you know, thats always amazed me.. For years now we have been seeing that.
We'll have a month or 6 weeks of absolutely terrible weather during a short fishing season, where private boats can't get out most days, sometimes for a week or more at a time, and even party and charter guys have trouble getting out, and when they do get out they have few customers.

Then we'll get a "decree" that the recreational quota was somehow magically "overfished" "overexploited", etc, and quotas have to be reduced by 25%the following season..
Just astounding how that seems to be accomplished with such regularity!...... bob
