![]() Heading with Boy Scouts to Forestburgh NY to camp. Ice fishing is on the agenda, but I have never been. Would real worms or senkos have any chance through the ice. We have a few small rods and a few tip ups the scouts made. I have no ice stuff, could we use small jig head?

![]() small jig heads with meal worms will work in a pinch it is going to be tough feeling the strikes with a regular rod also small spoons like kastmasters or phobies might work as well. put shiners on the tip ups about 10" to a foot off the bottom. use a spit shot up about 12 to 14 " above the hook to get it down to the preferred depth... good luck. tight lines.
