![]() Well, they all can’t be winners. Went out this morning on a NS half day boat for porgies. If this was next Monday, I’d be very happy. I easily caught and released 40 sea bass, of which 15 were keeper size. I tried everything to put porgies in the cooler. Jigged, fished different depths. Nothing worked. I ended up sharing high hook honors with a studly 2. That’s right, 2 freaking porgies.
Redeeming quality? I won the pool. With a blowfish. It was one of those days. |

![]() I would rather catch seabass all day long than porgies. You caught a lot of fish and won a pool, not a brutal day by any stretch in my book.

![]() I was on a trip like that on Sunday couldn't buy a bite from a porgy or a sea bass. Saturday decent pick of porgies, tons of sea bass.

![]() I’d rather catch sea bass that I could keep all day long. Throwing back keeper size sea bass stinks. Especially with 2 porgies caught. As for the pool, it was nice to win. Almost covered my fare, gas and tolls. I just find it wild that an 11 inch blowfish was the winner.
