Default Week plus recap from last Friday to 5/6/17

Haven't posted much lately bc I've been very busy...very busy catching fish vampire zombie status lol.

Went out with Dale last Fri for our 1st nite trip of the yr on the ol' big pond. Fished 1030/11 pm to 230 am ish. Slow steady pick of fish. We finished with 9 walleye and a nice smallmouth. As always, primo time aboard the GetANet II with poppa bear!

The following nite a met up with jimmylivebait late nite with a gaggle of fisher folk on another big lake. Good times. On the menu were largemouth and hybrids. I finished with 7 hybrids. They had a bunch of fish, too. Biggest was about 24". Most were 18-22".

Hit it a few more times during the week and had a slow pick of big largemouth and hybrids to 22". Two trips yielded 8 fish.

Last night was easily the best nite I've had in a long time, if not ever, while targeting hybrids. It was wet and windy but luckily not cold. I caught over a dozen (lost count in the heat of the action) and lost an equal number if not more. I landed a pb 25.5" fish and a bonus 21" largemouth. Fish were hitting with such reckless abandonment it was mind blowing. My line was ripping off the water's surface leaving a distinct trail of mist. Tested the drag on my 2500 daiwa ballistic. It passed with striped colors. I've never seen hybrids go airborne like this before. I've seen them thrash and tear across the surface, but some of these fish were shooting out of the water like missiles, easily clearing 2 ft vertically. I wish I had a night vision camera.

It's been a rough week plus of sleeplessness but it was worth it. Rough estimate of about 40 or so fish total with a mix of walleye, hybrids, smallmouth and largemouth.

Here's some porn. They're likely out of order but I'm too tired to care. I literally pissed red bull this morning. Should I call my doctor?
