![]() I finally packed my boat up for the winter today. The local lakes are largely covered with ice. I drove by Pinecliff Lake in West Milford today, not a small lake, and it was about 90 percent covered with ice. The smaller ponds are 100 percent covered.
After last year with little safe ice, this is a nice start for ice fishing. I'm still reluctant to say the boat fishing season is over. Perhaps Round Valley is an option and I can easily unpack the boat to go there |

![]() windy nights will keep larger bodies of water open you might have to break through some skim ice to get to it. it's time to get the dust off those spud bars and augers,can't wait to say "FLAG UP".
