My prediction is December 13th which Is about average. Earliest I've stood on ice was November 18th and would have been fishing it if I wasn't headed to ny the next day. Latest ice was like January 2nd. And mid December seems to a consistent average first ice date

call me a pessimist but i'll just wait and see haha. if it's like last year, tip toeing around those early ice spots gets kind of old pretty quick. I'm enjoying fall right now (the best time of the fishing season, better than ice
 )

i could use a new pair of boots, ice transducer, drill battery....i'm waiting to see if we have a real winter haha

Did somebody say ICE? LOL! Hoping for a good season! Let's see what happens! Please be safe and practice fillet and release this season! Lord knows those Perch, Crappie and assorted panfish are delicious battered and fried in oil........
