![]() I would like to try Lake Areoflex for some Rainbow trout. I am not looking to catch stockies but would like to catch and release some larger hold over rainbows. I am not sure where the rainbow trout will be holding out on the lake. Will the rainbow trout be shallow in weed beds or will they be suspended in open water? Those not familiar with Lake Areoflex can recommend what works for them on other lakes.

![]() troll the open water, you'll have a chance at running into them. the colder the water gets the more freely they'll roam up towards the surface. try 15-30' depth to start and see where you're marking bait and fish.

![]() Double anchor in 60 FOW or near a drop off or ledge, live line herring or shiners.
You can drift over open water setting baits down at different depths. |

![]() go with andy's suggestion, i haven't been there in a while and my advice is based on other holdover trout lakes.
