Default Upstate full moon mixed bag

We were invited to my buddy’s folks place on Otsego Lake this past weekend. Between solid sessions of adult beverages, good eats, and camp fires we squeezed in some productive fishing time. We got out around noon both days and had solid action with smallies, yellows, and rock bass along the deeper rocks on spinner baits, jigs, and blades. Some nice LM’s in the pads along the docks also. Tried an hour troll for lakers to come up empty. We got out Sunday evening in the full moon and found a few walleyes and nice sized smallies after dark on plastics and stick baits. There was some kind of crazy fly hatch that night under the full moon with all these whitish moth like bugs on the surface and everything was gorging on them. Beautiful place up there that’s not really pressured and has a lot of fish. Still waiting on some more pics from my buddy but here's what I had on my phone.

Atta boy Scotty. Good looking fish for sure. Nice sink bound eyes and smallies. How'd the bass taste? Never tried a bronze back before...

Haha, I gotta admit when my buddy's old man started throwing smallies into the live well I was skeptical of the impending fish fry but they actually tasted great. The fillets even looked light colored and whitish pink not like that bluish green pond scum crap that I've seen in LM's.
