I'm not a fan of floro or braid on spinning gear. I've tried both and gone back to mono. Floro was nothing but tangle city for me on my spinning gear. After LT a month of frustration I tore off about $60 worth of floro from my reels and re-spooled with mono.

Braid just felt wrong. I didn't like the way it casted and the noise it made and the vibration I felt while reeling it in was annoying.

Everything was re-spooled with good old Berklely Trilene, my go to mono for combination of price and performance.

Im a mono guys on my freshwater set up. I have had to many issues with the floro and braid. Get a tangle with the braid and its a pain the ass to get out. Then if it knots you have to cut it all off. With mono for me i feel i can get most of the tangles out without having to cut anything

Put a good 10 lb mono/copoly (I like Sunline or Magnathin) or go with 20 pound braid, Daiwa J-Braid or Maxima braid is what I'd go with.

Trust me on this one. Go with nanofill or gliss line works great on spinning rods, casts great, doesn't do that terrible grinding noise going throug the guides like most braids, thin, doesn't Swiss and tangle like mono. I only use those 2. Just make sure it isn't going to spin on your spool. I put rubber on mine to stop it.if necessary. I go through responding mono 8 times a year and am on my 3rd year withe both these lines. I use the same knots as mono.

if the braid is falling off your spinning reel your not putting it on right. all line has a memory and must be spooled the way it sits on the linespool.

an easy fix it to open your bail and let all your line out behind the boat with NO LURE on nothing. just troll forward a few mph and reel it back it and it will usually lay tight and right.

Some commented on the noise braid makes when going through the rods guides. The smoother braids like super slick have effectively diminished the sound other braids make. 832 can be loud but it doesn't effect anything. Plus it's great braid. Hasn't prevented me from having a nice late spring to this point. Every single reel I own has braid on it.

Some worry about the lack of stretch, too Loosen your drag a bit and tighten after hooking up. It's an adjustment but one that is well worth it. Cast further, more capacity, stronger and lasts longer than mono.
