I've seen some pretty big bass there cruising the shallows, but haven't caught other than dinks. I've had best luck with trout there though. They hold over and you can get them all summer long in the deep end near the dam. Green Turtle gets heavy pressure in ice fishing season, and from shore anglers, but I rarely see more than half a dozen boats on the water.

Yea it's nice. We've been on weekends and it's not over crowded Road to boat launch is a little prickly, but i scouted it in a Subaru Impreza, so it's not that bad |

I read someone on here called it Monksville Jr. before, and that's a great line! It can be a wonderful lake or a terrible lake depending on what the fish want to do that day (just like monks). Amongst the largemouth, pickerel and trout, there's also some smallies in there and some nice yellow perch. It's definitely a welcome peaceful retreat from the summer crowds at monksville. I just don't trust the road leading to the boat launch for a few days after it rains. It's a mess when it's dry, let alone when it's muddy.
