While casting spinners this afternoon at the D&R Canal I had a huge walleye follow my spinner right to my feet. I'd guess at lest 24" maybe bigger. I didn't catch it but I wondered later if it would have been legal to keep. They are legal year round in the Delaware but not in lakes. I wonder where the D&R Canal fits in? BTW it was a thrill just seeing a walleye never mind almost catching one that big. My buddy was standing right next to me when it happened tying on a fly and all he could say was, "wow that was a big fish".
