theres more than a few ways to do it and a simple diy job. no way i would buy those pre made off the shelf outriggers for like $200 that's just crazy.

I totally agree with you on that. Plus I already have the crab pot floats and will be getting the forearm crutches in a day or two.

Thanks

I own the sailboats2go outriggers. They are expensive, but they work. To be honest and like you said, if you are handy you can build your own outriggers and I bet they would work just as good or better than the expensive store bought ones.

Thanks. I'm having a tough time tracking down the forearm crutches, but already have the flag pole holders & crab pot floats.

Very stable canoe, no real need for outriggers on that boat, but since that wasn't your question, there are a bunch of videos on Youtube

Thanks. One of the videos on that list is the bird of prey which is part of what I'm going to be doing. The other was from my initial post https://flyfishinchristian.wordpress...ing-like-that/ which uses conduit as the cross pieces.

I don't want to drill in the side of my canoe like the bird of prey, but I want to use the crutch idea.

Since I want to use the bird of prey idea, I need to somehow make the flag pole holders on a piece of wood/metal/synthetic material going across the canoe, but being clamped on like the one from the fly fishing christian page.

That is where I'm struggling right now.
