![]() Launched around 100 pm on Lake Erie for shake down cruise and some early season walleye trolling. Got out about 3 miles and game on. Tried for 30 min to start trolling motor to avail! So had to troll with big engine. We trolled 1.3-1.5 mph. Wanted 1-1.2. Tried for 2.5 had some minor succes but not bad for first trip of year! Ended up 3-3. 31.5 inch. 29 inch and a small 20 incher

![]() Great fish but for lake erie it's the the exception. You can count on 10lb fish when you get on them. Gotta start looking for 13-14lbs before it's considered a trophy out there

![]() You are correct. We look for the 33-35 inch fish they will weigh 13/14 lbs. but have to,say I never get tired of pulling 31/32 inch fish every spring. 😀

![]() Nice chunky eyes. Love it.
On a side note I still cannot get over a picture of 16 lbs from Hopatcong that Dows got posted. That thing was an absolute scary looking cow. Andre |
