Default Apologies to the fleet

I was done fishing at sandy hook this morning.

I tossed a gallon bag of peanuts that I had netted - one handful at a time
Into the wash

I really got the birds crazy.....

I look south and one of our sponsors is racing towards me followed by at least a dozen more boats.....

What a mob scene today- every time a few birds showed a HUGE fleet of boats all followed and completely spooked them

We did catch a few shorts off the surf at the hook

We unintentionally did something similar today down south. During a lull in the action we decided to have something to eat. The gulls were going crazy for the bits and pieces of bread and other bits of leftovers that we tossed overboard. The wind pushed us along on the drift pretty well and the food bits were well away from the boat when the gulls found them. The gulls drew in a small fleet of boats scrambling to get close to the action. Even one of the party boats came steaming toward the flock of birds. There was nothing we could do to warn anyone what was going on so we just sat and watched the mayhem.
