Default Dog days of Farrington

So after doing some research on oxford furnace and cranberry lake, I got rattled and decided to stick to something I know and hit Farrington for some frog action. Up at 5 and out the door. About halfway there I think to myself "Ryan you have everything right? Yep checked twice. SHIT the battery is still on maintain." Not gonna get far without that so after the back and forth I was on the lake just before 6. Head to my first spot and damn the lillies are extra packed this year. No gaps or open water for me to walk some decent magic. Gave it a go but it wasnt working. Decided to throw a chatterbait along the edge and good choice. About the third cast I'm almost at the boat so I look around and boom. Didnt even realize what happened and didnt set the hook. Fish hit hard enough to hook himself though so the skunk was off. Not big but put up a nice fight. Only had one other bite the rest of the day, on a frog that i managed to hook but couldnt pull out before he worked lose. Was gone by noon and probably won't be heading back for awhile. The water was hottttt and the dog days are settling in. Going to make myself try new lakes and get to know them so I can give myself a better chance at actually catching something. Thanks for the read and tight lines!

Wait what .....

You actually managed to get up early ......glory be to creator ...

You should of listened and went to oxford ... (that's coming from a guy that pretty much been living at Spruce for the last 3 months) and got a taste of new sweet waters.

Anyways any day fishing is a good day and you still have something to show for it.

I remember your frustration last year. LoL

Congrats on catch ...sorry about the one that got away ....again .....

Youll get them

Andre

They just sprayed Cranberry with weed killer so wait a few weeks on there. When you do decide to hit there hit me up, I usually fish there and know quite a few spots.
