Default Bass are on beds already!

I fished Spring Lake yesterday, and there were a few bass already on beds. I spoke with an angler who regularly fishes the lake, and apparently there have been bedding bass for a few days now. Even though Spring Lake is shallow and warms quickly, I thought for sure with the cold winter/early spring that they wouldn't start spawning until at least May. The fish I saw may be early to the party, but it's an encouraging sign. Let's hope we don't get any major cold fronts that could disrupt the spawn.

The cold front that came through last night will drop temps pretty good for the next few days. Will probably push them off again until next week.
