Default Pia Costa & Pompton Lakes

Tried my luck today on Pia Costa. Did not even get my equipment out of the truck when an officer pulled along side and informed us that he would rather not have us fish the lake as it is private and the owner makes helocopter flights and call police to chase fishermen away. Then proceeded to tell us that if we fell through, no one would come out to save us. Hmmmm, at least he was friendly and pretty funny. So we decided not to push our luck and drove to Pompton Lake. Fished opposite shore from 7-14 ft with 2 perch jigged up up to 11". Moved nearshore by the road and fished again 8-15ft with 1 9" perch jigged up and no flags the entire day. I guess my luck for big fish ran out but at least no skunk. Btw, the NW wind was wicked?
