Default Farrington and Hopatcong

After the meet up fir crazy maniacs on the Spruce run and missing the only flag I had one day decided to head over to Farrington before sunset.

Got there around 4:30 pm on Saturday and fished right by the Sir Johns.

Had only 3 tip ups out and no action on them but stayed only till around 7ish

Once sun was going down the jig rod went into action with sunny action.

At last somewhere I had redeemed myself.

Lake Hopatcong Sunday from 6am till 11 am

After Saturday I realized that I did not have enough of the action and headed out to Hopatcong.

Was by Dows at quarter to 6 in morning and set up on my spot by 6 30

Spot where I fish quickly became a zoo but there was plenty of fish to be had by everyone. Pickerels from 3lbs and up, plenty of fat perch, crappies and occasional cat and bass mixed in. Jigging for sunnies, perch and crappies was pretty much non stop. Missed about 4 flags, and another 4 on my jig rod set up with shinners. Caught 4 pickerels, 3 perch, 1 crappie and maybe a bucket full of sunnies. All sunnies were released but rest was kept for my buddy dinner plans.

Best part of the day was an 8 inch perch trying to eat a 5-6 inch shiner. I think he choked on it before I even hooked it. All fish was caught in the shallows from 6:30 till 10am

Great day to be out but damn my hands are killing me from all the hole drilling this weekend.

LoL,

Tough day. You are nuts that was an awesome day fish or no fish. Well at least until my liquid courage was gone.

Thanks for looking after our pet swan when we left. That thing needed some good company.

Chris,

I didn't do contest and if I did I would be beaten pretty badly. Guys that were fishing next to me were doing a hell of a job. They got couple of pickerels at around 4 lbs easy, some crappies that will make a smallmouth look like a shiner and one hell of the largemouth that was close to 6lbs.

Like I mentioned morning was hot for the are we were at.
