Looking for a non paying position as a mate/ deck hand

Hello,
I am currently a flight engineer in the Air Force and I have tons of spare time and would like to find a non paying position as a mate or deck hand. I am mostly looking for experience in the fishing industry and don't care about getting paid! I have been fishing for a long time and would love to learn more about the sport! I currently have my own off shore boat and every tip and trick for the future would help! Eventually I would like to start a business in the fishing industry but until then I want to get down and dirty and learn and pay my dues. I live in nj and the closest area would be barnegats inlet.
