That's the right size for to cut it for Blackfish some like at 12 but I dont.

Depending on where you cut it it can be used from fluke to tuna. I personally like a light tip for blackfishing. 9-10 tip
12 tip seems to be the norm for most pinhookers who use this rod
I had 11 brand new honey blanks at the Hi-Mar show last week
I have 6 of them left. Price is 175 per blank
